METAMORPHOSIS: A Striptease Workshop
The striptease is an embodied manifesting tool, fueled by creative erotic energy.
Join us on Friday, April 12th, for a dance of your own BECOMING.
In this Workshop we will explore the technology of the striptease as both a physical practice of shedding layers & also as a metaphor that will bring us closer to the heart of who we really are.
We will release what is covering up our brilliance & reveal and presence our future selves, goals and desires. This exploration is for your own growth and expansion; not a performance for anyone else.
We will start with a deeply grounding warm-up, waking up the body’s sensual & erotic nature.
We will use journal prompts and embodied visualization to get clear on what we want to call in and what we’re ready to let go of.
Using physical prompts and exercises we will practice removing layers from the body in creative ways that feel good and interesting to you.
To integrate, we’ll close with an opportunity to free dance your explorations and to be witnessed in sisterhood. Through this somatic storytelling you will embody your manifestation and feel it come alive.
This Workshop will be led by Dance Temple Creatrix and Owner, Mira Peck.
What to bring:
-A Journal & Pen
-A small collection of layers (clothing of different shapes, weights, colors or textures.) They could have strong symbolic meaning to you—or not, that’s completely optional. You may end up experimenting with all of these layers, or just a few, or just one.
-A final reveal layer (or a few options!) Wear something that lights you up, makes you feel powerful or breathes life into your being. This is your opportunity to wear something sexy, edgy or completely out of the box. Lingerie is a powerful go-to, but only an inspiration point.
